**Players will be competing for 3 qualifying positions at US Open Final Stage Qualifying**

 

 


 

Registration

  • All registration will be managed by the United States Golf Association.
  • All players must have a Handicap Index at or below 0.4
  • Cost $200. Players who successfully qualify will be charged an additional $100
  • Registration will open on February 19th, 2025, 9:00 am EST. Apply to Play
  • Maximum Field Size is 78 players

 

Starting Times & Pairings

  • Starting times will be posted released via email and posted to this portal on Friday, April 18th.
  • Preferred starting time requests will not be accepted.
  • Tee Times will begin on Hole 1 at 9:00 Tuesday, May 13th.

 

Practice Round

  • Practice round cost is $60.  Tee Times will be available to schedule 7 days in advance by calling 406-251-2751 Practice Rounds will be available on Sunday, May 11th, after 1:00 and Monday, May 12th.

 

Food Service (No-Host)

Food service will not be available on Monday, May 12th.  Food service will be available on Tuesday, May 13th from 11:00  a.m. - 9:00 p.m. along with snacks and bottled water provided by the MSGA.

 

Pro Shop Hours

The Pro Shop will be open daily at 7:30 a.m.

 

Caddies

Contestants may provide their own caddie. Caddies will be required to wear a caddie bib provided on the starting tee.

 

Carts

Players are NOT allowed to use motorized transportation during their qualifying round.  Non-motorized push carts may be used.

 

Spectators

Spectators are welcome during the US Open Qualifying. Use of carts by spectators is not permitted. Spectators must stay in the rough, along with off of tees and greens, while maintaining a respectful distance to participants.

 

Dress Code

Players and caddies must be neat in appearance with respect to personal grooming and clothing while on host club property.

 

Code of Conduct

The MSGA expects all contestants, caddies, gallery and guest to exhibit proper conduct and behavior on the golf course and anywhere on club property during MSGA & USGA Championship. Unbecoming conduct or  behavior may be grounds for immediate disqualification, at any time from any MSGA event.  The following are some examples of unbecoming behavior:

  • Repeated use of loud, abusive, and/or profane language.
  • Throwing and/or breaking equipment in anger or frustration
  • Damaging host clubs, MSGA, and/or fellow contestant property
  • Public criticism or verbal abuse of host club or MSGA, officials, volunteers or staff or fellow contestants
  • Potential endangerment of others
  • Intentionally violating stated club policy
  • Violation of Dress Code Policy

 

Pace of Play Policy

Players are are encouraged to be familiar with the MSGA/USGA Pace of Play policy which is in effect at all championships.

 

Local Rules and Terms of the Competition

Players are encouraged to be familiar with the USGA 2025 Hard Card, along with Local Rules and Terms of the Competition.

 

Prohibited Use of Audio Equipment

Rule 4.3 is modified in this way: During a round, a player is not allowed to use an electronic device to listen to music or other audio (such as podcast or the like), including by using speakers, headphones or earbuds.  Penalty for breach of Local Rule - See Rule 4.3
